What can parents and communities do to create socioeconomically integrated schools?

San Francisco Unified School District’s assignment list 2015-2016

This is fascinating and wonderful that SFUSD is making the information available so quickly–the letters only arrived on Monday.

Overall, applications are up by 364 students. That’s a full elementary school, which is wonderful news.

The interesting analysis will be how many actually take those slots and what enrollment is for the next school year. I hope that it’s close to this and most families are choosing public.
